We have started an initiative which is about vibrotactile feedback for music perception. People members can perceive music not only through sight and sound but also through feeling the musical vibrations.

Currently, Austin Franklin and Eric Sheffield are composing works for the interface. It features several vibrotactile actuators that are independently controllable at the audio sampling rate. As shown below, ten actuators are placed according to the location of the fingertips.

We are initiating a series of experiments to learn more about how vibrotactile feedback can benefit people with various kinds of sensory differences.
